Polish fencer "went crazy" after winning a medal at the 2024 Olympics. Video

Polish fencer Aleksandra Jarecka became a real heroine both in her home country and on social media after the bronze medal match in women's team epee at the 2024 Olympics. In the third-place match, the Polish national team beat China 32:31.

The meeting took place in a tense struggle, where the athletes of both countries went head-to-head. Jarecka came out for the decisive fight and it was she who scored the last shot.

Upon realizing that she had brought her country another award, the 28-year-old native of Krakow simply "went crazy." Aleksandra started screaming loudly and then fell hysterically on the platform.

Her teammates rushed to her aid, hugging her and congratulating her on her bronze medal.

In the final match, France lost one point to Italy in a dramatic fight (29:30).

In the quarterfinals, Ukraine lost to China (41:45). This was followed by a victory over Egypt (45:31), which gave them the right to compete for 5th place.
