Marinated mackerel in a day: how to make a delicious marinade
Mackerel is an ideal fish for baking; it can be deliciously salted, marinated, and stewed with vegetables. To make the fish juicy and tasty, you need to prepare a delicious marinade.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious pickled mackerel with onions, spices, and vinegar on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Mackerel – 1 pc.
- Salt – 2 tsp.
- Sugar – 1 tsp.
- Bay leaf – 2 pcs.
- Black peppercorns – 1/2 tsp.
- Coriander – 1/3 tsp
- Water – 200 g
- Oil – 1 tbsp.
- Vinegar 6% – 1 tbsp
- Onion – 1 pc.
- A little allspice and 2-3 cloves
Method of preparation:
1. Prepare the marinade: mix salt, sugar, pepper, bay leaf and coriander. Bring to a boil and let it boil for a minute. Remove from heat, add vinegar and oil, cool.
2. Clean the frozen fish from the insides, cut off the head under the fin, and cut off all the fins and tail. Slice the fish into one and a half finger-thick slices.
3. Chop the onion, add to the fish, and pour over the marinade. Refrigerate at least overnight, preferably for a day!
