On Saturday, April 6, Kharkiv said goodbye to three rescuers killed by Russian terrorists. Chief Master Sergeants of the Civil Defense Service Vladyslav Lohinov, Serhiy Baidalinov, and Volodymyr Matiushenko were killed in the line of duty.

The aggressor country, the Russian Federation, cynically killed them in violation of all existing conventions and doctrines. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine noted that the killed rescuers had extensive experience. Each of them had children, wives, and parents.

Relatives, friends, comrades, and colleagues came to pay their last respects to those killed by the Russian occupiers. The rescuers were buried to the farewell sounds of fire sirens.

"We will remember our fallen colleagues as true friends and true professionals. Our sincere condolences to the families of the victims. Heroes do not die!" the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said.

On the night of April 4, the Russian occupiers attacked Kharkiv with Shahed kamikaze drones. Explosions were heard in the city, and air defense forces were working on enemy targets. The enemy hit residential buildings, killing four people and injuring 12.

Earlier, US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said that Russia should be held accountable for crimes against civilians. Repeated rocket attacks with a short interval between them are aimed at killing first responders and journalists who arrived at the scene.
