All Russian judokas have refused to compete at the Olympics in Paris, said Sergey Soloveichik, president of the Russian Judo Federation (RDF). The 2024 Games will be held in the French capital from July 26 to August 11.

Of the 17 judokas who have gained Olympic rankings, only four have been granted admission by the International Olympic Committee (IOC): Makhmadbek Makhmadbekov, Valeriy Yendovitskiy, Elise Startseva and Dali Liluashvili. Other athletes are forced to stay at home

"In this situation, the Presidium of the FDR made a unanimous decision: the Russian national team will not accept humiliating conditions and will not participate in the full composition proposed by the IOC officials at the Olympics in Paris," Soloveichik said on Match TV.

On June 27, two athletes with Russian passports and five wrestlers with Belarusian documents declined invitations to the Olympics, despite having qualified for the games and received neutral athlete status.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on June 15, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) began to announce the names of neutral athletes with Russian and Belarusian passports admitted to the 2024 Olympic Games. The first list contains the names of 14 Russians who will be able to participate in the Games in Paris in road cycling, trampolining, weightlifting, and wrestling.
