The kitchen hood takes on a significant portion of typical contaminants such as splashes and grease, and eliminates unpleasant odors. But such a useful job comes at the cost of a rapid accumulation of contaminants, including stubborn ones.

If your range hood is equipped with a reusable filter, you've probably had to put in a lot of work to clean it. However, there is a life hack that can greatly simplify this work for you. OBOZ.UA tells you more.

The two main cleaning ingredients that will help you clean your hood quickly and easily are vinegar and baking soda. From them, you will prepare a product that will do the hardest part of the work for you.

So, start by removing the filter from the hood. If you don't know how to disassemble your appliance model, use the manual for it or search for a video on the Internet.

The first step is to boil enough water in a pot that can hold your range hood. When the water is boiling, add 3-4 tablespoons of vinegar, and then add a quarter cup of baking soda. These proportions are designed for medium soiling. You can change them depending on your needs. Stir the cleaning solution well, put the filter in it, and let it soak for at least 10 minutes.

If the filter is too large, you may need to clean it on one side first and then turn it over. Once it has been soaked in the cleaning solution, remove it and cool it slightly, brush it to mechanically remove any dirt, and then rinse it well under running water.

Finally, wipe the filter and dry it well. Only a completely dry filter can be installed in the hood.
