Better than ordinary broth: how to make a delicious American soup for lunch
This cheese soup is called American because it tastes very similar to a burger. Even the meat is not used with a bone, but minced meat. This dish is definitely suitable for a hearty lunch.
The idea of making a hearty American soup for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Alex Mil (mil alexx). The taste is very delicate and rich.
Ingredients for a 4 liter saucepan:
- veal or beef minced meat - 500 g
- broth - 2 liters (or water)
- carrots - 120 g
- potatoes - 500 g
- onion - 120 g
- celery - 120 g
- cream - 300 ml (15-20 %)
- cheddar cheese - 60 g
- salt, pepper, suneli hops, Italian herbs, Provencal herbs
- oil - 15 g
Method of preparation:
1. Pour the oil into a saucepan, add the minced meat and salt, pepper and suneli hops.
2. Stir fry for 12 minutes.
3. Add the chopped onion, carrot and celery and stir-fry for another 10 minutes.
4. Add potatoes, Provencal and Italian herbs.
5. Pour in water or broth and cook for 15-20 minutes.
6. Pour in the cream and add the cheddar cheese.
7. Cook until the cheese is melted and turn off the heat.
