Parcels and more to rise in price: "Ukrposhta" will increase a number of tariffs in 2025
In 2025, "Ukrposhta" plans to revise some tariffs. In particular, the cost of sending parcels to a number of foreign destinations may increase.
This was stated by Yuliia Pavlenko, director of the company's international operations department. At the same time, she said, the cost of sending to some countries will remain unchanged, while to others it will decrease, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"We will have a small correlation, but only for a few countries with a large delivery leverage. The cost of delivery to other countries will not change or decrease, as in the case of the UK and the US. Among the countries for which the tariff will be slightly increased is Turkmenistan due to the need to make a large hook during air travel. We, as a state-owned company, cannot afford to work in the red," Pavlenko says.
Tariffs for parcels up to 10 kg will remain unchanged in key destinations. There will be a slight correlation in tariffs to the following countries:
- Armenia;
- Israel;
- Kazakhstan;
- Kyrgyzstan;
- Moldova;
- Tajikistan;
- Turkmenistan.
The following tariffs will also increase:
- EMS shipments (parcels up to 30 kg) to Poland;
- letters in the weight category of 1001-2000 grams – by $2;
- registered letters – up to $3.5;
- small PRIME packages (1-2 kg) for zones 1 and 3 - by 10% on average;
In addition, the tariffs for parcels over 10 kg with a declared value are planned to be equal to the tariffs for parcels up to 10 kg. Thus, it will become more profitable and cheaper to send parcels over 10 kg. In addition, the share of the tariff in Ukraine, which is already included in the tariff for parcels, EMS shipments, registered letters (subject to payment by electronic stamp), and small packages/PRIME, will change.
It is worth noting that in 2024 "Ukrposhta" has already revised several tariffs. In particular, due to changes in tax legislation, the prices of stamps have increased, which is why they, labeled envelopes and cards will be subject to a 20% value-added tax (VAT).
OBOZ.UA also reported that starting from January 1, 2025, "Ukrposhta" will introduce tariffs that will depend only on the volume of the parcel. Prices will start from 40 hryvnias per shipment, ensuring the availability and fairness of the service for all customers.
