The Spanish national football team defeated France in an incredible match in the men's final of the 2024 Olympic Games, which are ending in Paris. La Furia Roja was stronger than the tournament hosts in extra time - 5:3.

The match exceeded all expectations. The teams gave the fans a real spectacle. Already in the 11th minute, the French managed to open the scoring thanks to a well-aimed shot by midfielder Enzo Millot. However, after 15 minutes, the Spaniards took a two-goal lead.

First, Barcelona's Fermin Lopez scored a double. Then Alex Baena of Villarreal consolidated La Furia Roja's advantage with a direct free kick.

After the break, the wards of the legendary Thierry Henry rushed to score back. However, the French succeeded in the final part of the match. 15 minutes before the final whistle, the French team's second goal was scored by Maghnes Akliouche, and in stoppage time, forward Jean-Philippe Mateta, who plays for English side Crystal Palace, equalized with a penalty kick.

Thus, the game went into overtime. In the extra 30 minutes, Rayo Vallecano striker Sergio Camello scored the golden goal for Spain. In the 120+1st minute, he was also the one to put an end to the game.

After 32 years, La Furia Roja won the Olympic Games again. They added this achievement to their victory at Euro 2024 this summer.
