Ukrainian borscht with ribs: a recipe for a delicious dish for dinner
Borscht is one of the most delicious Ukrainian dishes that every housewife prepares in her own way. To make the dish rich and satisfying, cook it with meat; ribs are perfect.
The chef shared a recipe for a delicious and satisfying borscht with ribs and greens on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Ribs (I have beef) – 600 g
- Borscht dressing – 2 pcs
- Carrots – 1 pc
- Onion – 1 pc
- Cabbage – 400 g
- Potatoes – 4 pcs
- Beans – 100 g
- Garlic – 4 cloves
- Water – 3-3.5 liters
- Salt/pepper – to taste
- Sunflower oil
Method of preparation:
1. Heat a frying pan with 2-3 tbsp of sunflower oil, add the meat, and fry it well on all sides until golden brown.
2. Put the fried pieces in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Remove the foam. Add an onion, cut crosswise, one peeled carrot, cut in half, beans, and 2 allspice and black peppercorns each. Bring to a boil and skim off the foam (if necessary). Cover and cook for one hour.
3. Peel the potatoes, cut them into medium-sized pieces, and chop the cabbage into small strips. Remove the onions and carrots from the broth and add the chopped vegetables. Add two dressings and 4 cloves of garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the potatoes are tender. About 20 minutes.
4. Serve the borscht with sour cream. Sprinkle with herbs on top.
