To prevent the steak from turning out dry and tasteless: the main mistake when grilling meat
A good steak tenderloin is not cheap, so it's unlikely that anyone would want to ruin it while cooking. Especially because of a single mistake that can be easily avoided.
What it is, OBOZ.UA knows.
Cover the finished steak
The technology of cooking steaks is quite simple, but there is a point that many inexperienced chefs do not take into account. It's about the need to cover the steak as soon as the dish reaches the desired temperature and degree of doneness. After that, you need to put it on a plate, cover it with a piece of aluminum foil, and leave it in this state for at least 5 minutes.
Why cover the steak?
This technique is related to the moisture level of the steak. When the meat is fried, the juices come to the surface. And if you cut it right away, they will flow out. As a result, the steak will become very dry and tasteless.
So, leaving the steak for 5 minutes "under the foil" will give it time to redistribute these juices. And when you cut it, each piece will remain juicy.
By the way, this rule applies to other types of meat as well. Roast is a great example. Let it stand for at least 10 minutes before serving, and the dish will be much tastier.
