Dumplings are a delicious dish that every housewife knows how to make. It is worth noting that dumplings can be cooked in different ways: boiled in boiling water, baked in the oven, steamed, and even fried in a pan.
The cook shared a recipe for delicious, fluffy steamed dumplings with cottage cheese on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 250 ml. warm milk
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp. l. oil
- 20 g. live yeast
- 400 g. of flour
Filling:
- 200 g. cottage cheese 5-9%
- 0.5-1 tbsp. vanilla sugar
Method of preparation:
1. Add sugar, salt, oil to warm milk and mix.
2. Next, add live yeast, because it is easy to rise and the dumplings turn out like clouds.
3. Mix well until the yeast dissolves and add the flour in two stages. Knead the dough first with a spatula and then knead it with your hands on a floured surface. If necessary, add a little flour, but no more than 1-2 tbsp. Cover the finished dough with a plate or towel and leave it to rest for 10 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, fill a saucepan with half the water and tie in cheesecloth. Put on the fire and bring to a boil.
4. For the filling: add vanilla sugar to the cottage cheese and mix well with a fork. If you do not sprinkle sugar on the finished dumplings, add sugar to the filling.
5. Roll out the dough into a 2-3 mm thick layer and cut out circles with a glass. Add the filling, shape the dumplings and place them on cheesecloth, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
Serve immediately, hot!
