The social media star, who at the age of 64 looks a maximum of 40, shared the secrets of youth: what she eats and what the 90/10 rule is all about
Harrah Brown, 64, has become a social media star, and her videos are gaining millions of views. However, commentators do not believe that the woman is already at the age when she can be called a grandmother.
The American's content is dedicated to beauty and youth, and the woman herself strives to be "fit and confident at any age," the NY Post writes. In one of the videos, Brown gets out of the pool, showing off her slim figure.
The social media star started training only at the age of 61. Harrah Brown does not hide her secret of losing weight and looking always fresh - it all comes down to one simple rule of nutrition that she always follows. "These are the products I buy every week. I practice the 90/10 rule," she wrote in the post. "Ninety percent nutrient-dense foods and 10 percent tasty but not quite healthy foods.
The blogger told her audience that following the plan helped her lose the belly fat that appeared during menopause, making her "slimmer and stronger." She also showed the foods that are a must in her diet.
Blueberries and raspberries
According to many studies, berries are among the healthiest foods. "On average, people who eat more berries seem to live a little bit longer," said Eric Rimm, a professor of epidemiology and nutrition at the Harvard School of Public Health. A bowl of fresh berries a day when in season is a good recommendation, Rimm said, but experts don't rule out frozen berries either.
Olive oil
A 2023 study found that olive oil can "destroy belly fat caused by aging," which is exactly what Brown was fighting. This product is also associated with heart health and longevity.
Almond milk, pistachios and peanut butter
Nuts such as pistachios are another staple in the American diet. According to experts, consuming certain tree nuts can also help reduce belly fat. Experts regularly emphasize the nutritional value of nuts, citing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help slow down the aging process.
Salmon and halibut
Brown told her fans that she likes to eat fish for dinner to get protein. Many studies have linked eating two fish meals a week to a reduced risk of mortality. Oily fish is also packed with antioxidants that can help improve your appearance by slowing down the signs of aging.
Cucumbers and greens
Greens are a big part of Brown's secret to youthfulness-she loves cucumbers, romaine lettuce, green cabbage, and cilantro. Three servings of vegetables a day can contribute to longevity, according to a study by the Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
