The most economical electric car is presented: you don't have to spend money on charging it
The Solar Team Eindhoven team has presented an economical electric car Stella Terra. You don't have to spend money on charging it, because the car is powered by solar energy and charges its battery in this way.
The novelty was reported on the Solar Team Eindhoven website. The Stella Terra electric car is capable of accelerating to 145 km/h. The car is a sedan with a streamlined silhouette.
The smooth long roofline, which actually goes down to the rear bumper, is completely covered with solar panels. As well as the hood. This allows you to charge the batteries with solar energy on the go.
In static conditions, the design works even more efficiently. After all, the solar panels can be opened to increase their useful area for even more efficient recharging. Obviously, an electric vehicle with such a design can do without an outlet at all.
The total range is estimated at 630 km. It is planned to test the capabilities of the development in Morocco during a 1000 km drive. Perhaps this prototype will eventually turn into a production car.
