The most delicious stewed potatoes for dinner

Stewed potatoes are a delicious dish for dinner for the whole family. It is also much more hearty than mashed potatoes. In addition, you combine everything together in one pot and end up with a complete dish, so you don't have to fry or boil anything separately.

The idea of cooking a hearty stew for lunch was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Alex Mil (mil alexx). Even diet chicken will turn out juicy.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes - 1,300 g
  • chicken fillet - 700 g
  • onion - 150 g
  • carrots - 250 g
  • garlic - 3-4 cloves
  • vegetable oil - 30 ml
  • greens for serving - 5 g
  • tomatoes - 2 tbsp (to taste)
  • salt, pepper, smoked paprika
  • bay leaves - 2-3 pcs
  • water - 1.5 liters of water

Method of preparation:

1. Pour oil into the pan and put the meat in it.

2. Fry for 10 minutes over high heat.

3. Add carrots, onions, and squeezed garlic.

4. Reduce the heat and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring.

5. Add the potatoes, cut into medium pieces, spices, tomatoes and bay leaves.

6. Stir well, cover the potatoes with water completely, and simmer under the lid until the potatoes are soft, stirring occasionally.

7. Cook over low heat. Turn off when the potatoes are tender enough.

8. Sprinkle with herbs before serving.
