Solyanka is one of the easiest and most satisfying dishes to prepare, and it can be made from whatever you have in the fridge. Add spices, olives, and tomato paste for a bright flavor.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious and satisfying solyanka with boiled beef, smoked sausage, and vegetables.
Ingredients:
- Beef - 350 g
- Hunting sausages - 150 g
- Ham - 150 g
- Carbonade - 100 g
- Onions - 2 pcs
- Carrots - 1 pc
- Potatoes - 3 pcs
- Pickles - 3 pcs
- Cucumber brine - 1 glass
- Olives - 1 jar
- Tomato paste - 1 tbsp with a slide
- Salt/pepper - to taste
- Hops - suneli - to taste
- Parsley and dill
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the beef with the onion for 2 hours, do not forget to skim off the foam.
2. At this time, finely chop the onion, grate the carrots on a coarse grater, cut the sausages into slices, and cut the smoked meats and cucumbers into strips. Fry the onions, then add the carrots, fry for 3-5 minutes, then add all the smoked meats, fry for another 3 minutes, add the cucumbers and tomato paste, fry for 3-5 minutes, then add a glass of cucumber brine, suneli hops, and simmer for 20 minutes under the lid.
3. Take the beef out of the broth and cut it into cubes, add the potatoes (optional) and meat to the broth, cook for 5 minutes, then add the roast and cook all together for 15 minutes.
4. Add pepper, olives, lemon juice, finely chopped dill, and cook for a few more minutes.
Serve the finished solyanka with sour cream and a slice of lemon!
