Hodgepodge is a very satisfying and tasty dish based on meat and smoked products. Add olives, black olives, herbs, spices, garlic, and tomato paste for a bright flavor.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a very tasty and satisfying hodgepodge with ham, olives, and pickles.
Ingredients:
- pork ribs – 300 g
- potatoes – 2-3 pcs.
- smoked brisket – 150 g
- ham – 200 g
- onions – 2 pcs.
- pickled cucumbers
- ketchup for barbecue – 2 tbsp
- olives – 80 g
- salt, spices to taste
- lemon
- sour cream
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the pork ribs, cut them into pieces, and fry in a little oil on both sides until golden brown, put in a saucepan, add onions, peppercorns, and bay leaf, then cover with water.
2. While they are cooking, dice the ham, sausage, onion, and pickles. Cut the olives in half. Then put all the meat products in a saucepan with water and cook for 20 minutes over low heat.
3. Pour the oil into a frying pan and fry the onion for 3 minutes, add the ketchup and stir, pour in 4 tbsp of broth, reduce the temperature, and simmer for another 5 minutes, then pour into a saucepan and add the olives.
4. Add salt and pepper, bring to a boil again, cover, and cook for another 10 minutes. Then turn it off and let the dish stand for 20 minutes!
