The easiest gingerbread cookie recipe: even a child can do it
Gingerbread cookies are a favorite winter pastry for both adults and children. Moreover, they are very easy to prepare and quite convenient for people who are very busy and cannot complete all the processes at once.
For example, you can make the dough in advance and freeze it, and then take it out of the freezer when you have more time to cook and bake. OBOZ.UA offers a recipe for perfect gingerbread cookies.
Ingredients:
- 300 g ground almonds
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1.5 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1.5 teaspoons of ground ginger
- Mix 100 g of powdered sugar with 1.5 tablespoons of water
- Mix 100 g of powdered sugar with 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons of water.
Method of preparation:
First, in a bowl, mix the honey and butter until smooth. Then add the ground almonds and spices and mix until smooth.
Put the dough between two pieces of baking paper and roll it out. Then place in the freezer for 45 minutes or until the dough is firm.
Preheat the oven to 180C/160C. Remove the top layer of baking paper and cut out cookies with cookie cutters.
Transfer to a large rectangular ceramic baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges are golden.
Leave to cool completely before decorating.
For decorating, you will need two pastry bags, one with white icing and one with chocolate icing (if your icing mixture is a little dry, add water). Decorate and leave to freeze until you are ready to enjoy.
