Tastier than "Shuba": healthy and tasty beetroot and herring appetizer in 10 minutes
Beets and herring are the best combination of products for making delicious appetizers and salads, the most famous of which is "Shuba." It is better to bake beets in foil instead of boiling them, as they will be much healthier and juicier.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious beetroot and herring sandwiches that are very easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- Herring fillet
- Dijon mustard
- Bread
- Boiled beetroot
- Mayonnaise
- Garlic
- Lettuce leaves for decoration
- Dill
- Olive oil
Method of preparation:
1. Trim the edges of the slices of bread, cut in half, brush with olive oil, and send in the oven at 180 degrees for about 5 minutes (look at your oven) until crisp.
2. Grate the boiled beets, add Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and garlic, then mix.
3. Assemble the sandwiches: put lettuce leaves on the bread, then the beetroot spread, top with a piece of herring and garnish with a sprig of dill.
