Svitolina crashes out of the 2024 Olympics
Ukraine's third seed Elina Svitolina (WTA #31) lost in three sets to Czech Republic's Barbora Krejcikova (WTA #10), the current Wimbledon 2024 champion. The match at the 2024 Olympics ended with a score of 6:7 (5:7), 6:2, 4:6
Elina led 3:0 in the first set, but it was not an easy victory. The Czech tennis player picked up the pace and won the tiebreaker.
In the second game, with the score at 1:1 and losing 15:40, Elina turned on the heat and left her opponent no chance. The second key moment came at 4-2 when Krejcikova made a double fault on serve.
The third set was marked by a dramatic struggle. The Ukrainian again led 2:1 but lost in the fourth game.
