Super meat pie with cheese and without a gram of dough: you just need pita bread
Homemade pies can be made not only from dough, but also from pita bread. And for the filling, you can use any products you like.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious and satisfying pita pie with minced meat.
Ingredients:
- pita bread - 2 pcs.
- minced meat - 750 g
- onion - 3 pcs.
- dry garlic - 1 tsp.
- smoked paprika - 1 tsp.
- salt - 1 tsp.
- Provencal or Italian herbs - 1 tsp.
- black pepper - 1/2 or 1/3 tsp.
For the filling:
- cheese (mozzarella is better) - 200 g
- sour cream - 200 g
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- salt - 1 tsp (without a slide)
- Italian herbs - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Add finely chopped onion, salt and spices to the minced meat and mix everything.
2. Put a thin layer of minced meat on the pita bread, then cover with another pita bread. Roll it up tightly.
3. Cut the pita bread into portions of equal thickness and place it on the parchment in a lined baking dish.
4. For the filling: add eggs, spices and grated cheese to the sour cream and mix. Spoon the filling onto the pans with a tablespoon.
5. Bake at 180 C for 45-50 minutes. Put a layer of grated cheese on top 10 minutes before it is ready and put it back in the oven.
