Russian rival Harlan assessed the 2024 Olympics without mentioning Ukraine's gold medal

Russian saber fencer Sofia Pozdnyakova admitted that she had been following the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris with interest. The fencer, who has repeatedly confronted Olha Harlan, called the results of the competition in the French capital natural.

Pozdnyakova said this in a commentary to the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The two-time Tokyo 2024 Olympic champion did not mention the victory of the Ukrainian national team in team sabre, but limited herself to general words about the Games, where she refused to go in the so-called neutral status.

"I watched the entire Olympic Games. The results were natural. There were no upsets. There is a certain joy for those athletes who have been going for Olympic gold for a long time. The Olympics is such an important event. When you watch it as an accomplished athlete, you have completely different impressions. It was interesting for me to watch and note something for myself," Pozdnyakova said.
