Pita bread is the simplest product for making delicious and quick snacks, as well as pizza, salads, and pies. Pita bread can also be the basis for desserts.

A chef shared a recipe for a delicious pita bread rolls with mackerel on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • 1 mackerel
  • 1 pita bread
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1 large onion or 2 small ones
  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1 tsp of mustard
  • 2 tbsp of oil
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • dried oregano to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Divide the mackerel into fillets and remove the bones.

2. Mix oil, soy sauce, lemon juice and mustard. Spread half of the marinade over the fish, sprinkle with oregano and leave for 10 minutes.

3. Fry the mackerel on both sides in a preheated dry pan on each side for 5-7 minutes.

4. Cut the pita bread into two pieces and brush them with the second half of the marinade. Put the chopped tomato and onion and then the mackerel on top.

5. Roll up and fry in a dry pan or grill until golden brown.
