A photo from the group stage of the 2024 Olympics in women's beach volleyball has gone viral on the Internet. In a day, the image from the match between the Spaniards Fernandez Steiner/Soria Gutierrez and the Egyptian girls Abdelhadi/Elgobashi received almost 50 million views.

The photographer captured the contrast between the athletes, causing an unprecedented stir among fans around the world. Almost naked, tanned Spaniards stood opposite Egyptian women completely wrapped in black.

In the comments, fans pay homage to representatives of other religions and wonder how it is possible to play beach volleyball fully clothed.

Some users in the photo editor suggested how the match would look like on Egyptian television.

The match between Egypt and Spain ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the European athletes.

Liana and Paula continue to compete at the 2024 Games. On Sunday, August 4, they are scheduled to play in the 1/8 finals against Switzerland.
