Original Italian pilaf for dinner: how to cook a delicious and satisfying dish in a new way
One of the simplest and most delicious rice dishes is pilaf. You can cook it with meat, seafood, and vegetables. Choose long-grain rice for the dish, such as basmati or jasmine.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious pilaf with chicken thighs, vegetables, and olives on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 200-250 g of rice (camolino is ideal)
- 3-4 chicken thighs
- 1 large onion
- 100 g of olives
- 200 g of cherry tomatoes
- garlic (fresh or dry)
- salt, pepper
- parsley
Method of preparation:
1. Remove the bone from the thighs, and cut them into 2 parts. And fry in vegetable oil on both sides until crispy.
2. Fry the onion in the same skillet. Add olives and cherry tomatoes, then salt, spices, and rice. Add water, as usual, 1:2 or a little more.
3. Put the thighs on top of the rice. Add salt and season them as well. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until the rice is tender. If the water has already evaporated and the rice is not ready, you can add a little water.
Sprinkle with parsley when serving!
