Many people associate buckwheat with gray and ordinary porridge. But this grain can be used to make a delicious meal. You will need some meat and mushrooms.

The idea of cooking the most delicious buckwheat is published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname yanni.cooking. This method is also very budget-friendly.

Ingredients:

  • meat - 400-500 g (I had veal, but pork is also great).
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • celery - 2 stalks.
  • champignons - 400-450 g.
  • buckwheat groats - 1 cup.
  • salt and pepper to taste.
  • oil for frying.

Method of preparation:

1. Chop the onion, cut the carrots into thin slices, and slice the celery.

2. Fry in vegetable oil until the kitchen is filled with an incredible aroma for 3-4 minutes.

3. Add the meat and mushrooms, cut into large pieces.

4. Stir, cover, and simmer over low heat until the meat and mushrooms release their juices (about 20-25 minutes).

5. Open and stir occasionally.

6. When the moisture has evaporated, add 2 cups of water and washed buckwheat.

7. Cover and leave everything on low heat for another 20-25 minutes. Each grain will absorb the flavors and juices, making the dish incredibly tasty.

8. After removing from heat, let it brew under the lid for another 10 minutes.
