Champagne is the most popular New Year's drink. But it is imperative to know how to store it properly before and after opening so as not to spoil the delicious drink.

The chef shared on his YouTube channel a life hack on how to properly store champagne after opening it so that it doesn't spoil.

The chef advises simply taking a teaspoon and putting it in the bottle, and putting the bottle in the refrigerator, because the low temperature slows down the process of carbon dioxide evaporation.

After that, the champagne will not lose its taste for 1-2 days after opening!

Another way is to pour the remaining champagne into a smaller bottle with a good cork, as the smaller volume of air above the liquid helps to preserve carbon dioxide. These measures will help to maximize the freshness and quality of the opened champagne, although the most reliable way is to enjoy the drink as soon as possible after opening it.
