The popularity of tropical countries for winter tourism is growing. It seems like a real dream to get from a gloomy and cold winter to a sunny beach, and one of the countries of Southeast Asia is ready to make this dream come true right now.

According to Express, it is the Philippines. The territory of this country consists of more than 7000 islands, but the majority of the population lives on only 11 of them. The main flow of tourists passes through the capital city of Manila, from where they travel to vacation destinations.

The Philippines is famous for its beaches, beautiful landscapes, volcanoes, and impressive dense jungle. The average temperature here is around 26 °C all year round. In January, it drops slightly to 24 °C, but it's still warm in summer.

The most popular beaches in the Philippines include White Beach on Boracay Island, Nacpan Beach in El Nido on Palawan Island, and Alona Beach in Bohol Island. They are called a real earthly paradise with rich colors of sand, water, and greenery. Tourists call the sunset on such a beach one of the most romantic spectacles in their lives.

Other places worth visiting during your trip to the Philippines include the Puerto Princesa Underground River. This unique body of water is one of the largest navigable areas of its kind, located on the island of Palawan. The river has even been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and tourists are offered fascinating boat trips here.

Another must-see place is the Banaue Rice Terraces. They were laid more than 200 years ago and rice is still grown here. The sight of an artificial landscape covered with bright greenery leaves an unforgettable impression.
