New Year's Mimosa: what to add to the salad for a bright and unusual flavor
One of the simplest homemade salads is Mimosa. You can use canned fish, baked mackerel, or red fish to make it.
A cook shared a recipe for a delicious and easy-to-prepare Mimosa with sardines and processed cheese on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of vinegar
- 2-3 potatoes
- 2 carrots
- 2 cans of canned sardines
- 120 g of processed cheese
- 4 eggs
- 200-250 g of mayonnaise
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the vegetables or bake them at 180 C for 60 minutes. Then cool, peel and grate them on a coarse grater.
2. Finely chop the onion, add salt, sugar and vinegar, cover with hot water and marinate for 15 minutes. Then drain the water and add the onions to the sardines.
3. Layer the salad: potatoes, mayonnaise, sardines with onions, processed cheese, carrots, mayonnaise, whites, mayonnaise and finally grated egg yolk.
4. Let the salad stand in the fridge for a while and serve!
