Math puzzle for geniuses: test your IQ level
Can you solve this group of equations in 17 seconds?

It would seem that it could be easier than simple arithmetic. This puzzle proves that it is not.

In the picture published by OBOZ.UA, you see several equations with fruits instead of numbers. Your task is to solve all the examples and, using the answers, find out the solution of the last one, the result of which is unknown. Ideally, you should do it in 17 seconds.

These math puzzles not only help you remember the arithmetic course we all took in elementary school. They will also help you improve your concentration and attention, develop problem-solving skills, and boost your memory and cognitive functions. And at the same time, you will test your IQ, because to cope with such a task, you need to have a fairly high intelligence quotient. And all this in the form of a fun and exciting workout.

So set the timer and start calculating. If the time runs out before you're done, don't worry. It only means that you have forgotten your arithmetic and are now recovering this important knowledge. So don't give up and finish the task on your own. And then test yourself with the explanation below.

So, let's move on to the calculations. Here's how to solve these equations.

In the first example, the sum of three strawberries is 30. In mathematical terms, this equation looks like this:

X+X+X+=30

Or this:

3X = 30

So, to find X, we need to divide 30 by 3. Thus, the "value" of one strawberry is 10.

The strange fruit in the next example is a custard apple. The sum of two such apples and one strawberry is 20. Let's take the value of this fruit as Y and write this example as follows:

Y+Y+X=20

Another way to write the same equation is:

2Y+X=20

Since we know that X is 10, we can conclude that 2Y is calculated by subtracting ten from the sum:

Recommendations

2Y = 20-10

It turns out that 2Y is 10. Dividing this number by two, we find the value of Y and get 5.

In the third equation, we have 2 oranges and a custard apple, the total amount of which is 13. We denote the value of the orange as Z and write the equation:

Z+Z+Y=13

We can also write it in another way:

2Z+5=13

Here, the calculation logic is similar. 2Z is the difference between the total and Y. It can be calculated as follows:

2Z = 13-5

So, 2Z equals 8, divide this number by 2 and get the value of Z. It is 4. This is the value of the orange in this problem.

Now we have all the terms to plug into the last equation. It will look like this:

4 + 10 + 5 = ?

By simple addition, we get the number 19. This is the correct answer to the puzzle.
