Low-calorie, gluten-free, and sugar-free: how to make pancakes with just two ingredients
This healthy pancake recipe is ideal for those who want to reduce their sugar intake or lose weight.
The dessert is quick and easy to prepare, and at the same time, the dish is healthy and contains only two ingredients, writes OBOZ.UA.
Ingredients:
- One ripe banana
- Two large eggs
- Any additional toppings to your taste – blueberries, yogurt, or a pinch of cinnamon.
You will also need a frying pan, a tablespoon, a thin spatula, and a small amount of butter or vegetable oil.
Method of preparation
1. Start by peeling the banana and mashing it in a bowl until any large lumps disappear. Then crack two large eggs into another bowl and beat them lightly before pouring them into the mashed banana. Stir everything until well combined.
2. Put the saucepan on the stove over medium heat. You can add a dab of butter to the pan or a drop of vegetable oil, depending on your preference. When it is hot, pour about two tablespoons of pancake batter into the pan. Cook on one side for about one minute – the edge should start to turn golden brown.
3. Gently flip the pancake to the other side with a thin spatula. Cook for another one to two minutes, until the side is golden brown. You can continue to flip the pancake several times until you reach the desired color.
4. These banana pancakes can be stored in the refrigerator for several days and can easily be reheated in the microwave in 30-second intervals until they are warm. Although such pancakes may not taste as good as freshly made ones, they will still be a delicious snack.
