Pita bread is an ideal product that can be the basis for preparing delicious and satisfying dishes in the form of rolls with various fillings. It can also be the basis for making casseroles and homemade chips.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious lazy pita casserole with cottage cheese and grated hard cheese.
Ingredients:
- 1 pc. thin pita bread (2 pieces inside)
- 4 eggs
- 300 ml of milk
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 200 g of cottage cheese
- 100 g each: mozzarella, cottage cheese and feta cheese
- + 100 g of mozzarella for sprinkling on top
- a piece of butter
Method of preparation:
1. Beat eggs with milk.
2. Put a layer of pita bread soaked in the egg mixture into the mold, put the cheese filling on top and repeat until you run out of products.
3. Bake at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
After baking, be sure to brush with butter and cover with foil to prevent a hard crust from forming!
