Anna PavlovaNews
Summer heat can be a real challenge

The abnormal summer heat that weather forecasters predict in Ukraine this month can have a detrimental effect on the human body. In addition, it often leads to insomnia.

Doctors gave advice on how to protect yourself from overheating. They also explained what happens to the human body when the air temperature approaches 30 degrees.

To help your body withstand the heat, follow a few simple rules:

– It is better to avoid being in the direct sun from 12:00 to 16:00.

– Maintain your water balance and drink enough fluids.

– Choose light and healthy foods that are easier for your body to digest.

– Refrain from drinking beverages that contribute to dehydration.

– Wear a hat that protects you from overheating. Choose clothes made of light natural fabrics.

If a person overheats, then:

– Breathing and heart rate may increase, which may be manifested by a feeling of shortness of breath.

– Active sweating leads to an imbalance of water and salt balance and dehydration.

– There may be an increase in blood pressure.

At the same time, in response to an increase in air temperature, stress hormones may be released in the body, and blood parameters may change due to dehydration, such as blood clotting, increased levels of hemoglobin, red blood cells, etc.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA told how to survive the heat without serious harm to the body. This can be done by following simple recommendations and having an idea of what symptoms indicate that a person is suffering from heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
