How to charge your phone in a few minutes: a useful life hack

Yulia PoteriankoNews
To quickly charge your smartphone, you need a power outlet

Charging your smartphone is a slow process, because the battery needs time to fill up with energy. But you don't always have time to wait. In this case, you can use a few life hacks that will help you charge your gadget in just a few minutes.

OBOZREVATEL tells you about these technical tricks. However, some of them require additional equipment.

Fast charging mode

If your device model allows it, you can use a fast charging adapter. You will also need a compatible charger for this. You can find out if your device is equipped with this feature in the smartphone manual. However, experts do not recommend using this mode frequently. It is also important to make sure that all accessories are in good working order and compatible with each other.

Maximize savings

Even while charging, we often scroll through social media, make calls, or write messages. This uses up some of the power and slows down the battery charge. So to speed up the process, you should leave your phone alone. And ideally, you should also disable all power-consuming services, such as the Wi-Fi module, Bluetooth, or geolocation. The phone will charge much faster when put into airplane mode. An even more radical solution is to turn off the device altogether.

Avoid overheating

It is normal for the battery to heat up while charging. However, the higher the temperature, the longer it will take to accumulate energy. That's why you shouldn't place your phone on soft surfaces, as they will heat it up even more. It's also a good idea to remove the case from the device.

Choose the right outlet

Charging your smartphone from USB ports will always be slower than from a wall outlet. After all, the port can provide a current of only 0.5 A, while the wall outlet can provide 1 A.

What about wireless charging?

Charging the battery wirelessly can be a convenient solution in certain situations. But it's definitely not fast. In addition, this process itself is energy-intensive. It consumes 47% more power. Therefore, it is better to use wired charging or a power bank.
