Dubois explains his "madness and insanity" at the rematch of Usyk – Fury
International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt holder Daniel DuBois (22-2, 21 KOs) has once again justified his entrance into the ring after Oleksandr Usyk's (23-0, 14 KOs) victory over Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) in a rematch. The Briton, whose behavior was called madness and insanity, noted that he had specifically called our compatriot for the second fight to make a PR for himself and the fight with Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs).
Du Bois said this during a press conference before the fight with the New Zealander, Mirror.co.uk reports. According to the British champion, he is not looking behind Parker's back, but he is confident in his victory, after which he intends to rematch with Usyk.
"Listen, it's just a desire to make some noise. This is show business. That's who I want to see next, but first I need to get through Parker, who I'm going to beat. And then I want Usyk to be next. I have my eyes on this fight, I'm ready for it and I'm on a horse. I'm going to be too strong and too fast for anything he does. I will respond to everything Usyk does even better. I'm confident in myself. I'm not going to say too much, let the fans tune in and it's going to be a great fight," said Dubois.
It will be recalled that Oleksandr defeated Daniel by TKO in the ninth round in August 2023, and the Briton scored with a dirty punch below the belt.
Dubois threatened revenge on our compatriot. And the head of Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Entertainment, Turki Al-Al-Sheikh, announced his intention to organize a rematch between the British and Ukrainian.
In turn, British boxer Fraser Clark (8-1-1, 6 KOs) called on the Ukrainian to end his career.
