Healthy pancakes without flour: will not harm your figure

For many people, pancakes are a favorite breakfast option, but over time, they should be abandoned, as they can harm your figure due to their flour content.

For such a case, there is a recipe for this delicious dish without the usual ingredient. OBOZ.UA will tell you how to make pancakes without flour, replacing it with oatmeal.

Ingredients (for two people):

  • 50 g bilberries
  • 150 ml of milk
  • 100 g of oatmeal
  • One tablespoon of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
  • One ripe banana
  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • One teaspoon of coconut milk
  • Honey or maple syrup for serving.

Method of preparation

1. Add the oatmeal to a blender or food processor and blend until powdered, then add the mixture to a large bowl. Mix with baking powder, salt and cinnamon.

2. Wash and dry the bilberries before halving them, or simply chop them finely. Peel the banana and cut it into pieces before adding it to the blender with the milk and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.

3. Add the wet mixture from the blender to the dry ingredients in the bowl, then stir to combine. Finally, add the bilberries to distribute them evenly without crushing them.

4. Heat the coconut oil in a large nonstick skillet. Spread a few tablespoons of the pancake batter into the pan and cook for a few minutes.

5. Flip the pancakes over to cook for another minute on the other side or until the pancakes are done. Do not make them too golden, otherwise the edges of the pancakes will become crispy. Put the finished pancakes on two plates and pour honey and garnish with the remaining berries.
