Headlights will look like new: miracle car cleaning products

Alina MilsentNews
How to quickly clean car headlights

Cleaning your headlights from dirt and dust should be done regularly – it's primarily a matter of safety. Precipitation, asphalt chemicals, and road dirt quickly contaminate headlights, making them cloudy and opaque. These factors, of course, significantly dim the light.

You can clean tarnished headlight optics yourself with simple ingredients. The Sante Plus magazine has offered simple and effective tips on how to clean your car's headlights and restore their shine.

Baking soda

Baking soda is known for its cleaning properties. It will perfectly clean your car's headlights – parking lights, low beam, high beam, front and rear fog lights.

Take 2 tablespoons of baking soda and dilute them with water. You should get a thick paste-like mixture. Dampen a brush or sponge with it and wipe the headlights thoroughly. You do not need to press hard, because soda has abrasive properties.

Afterward, rinse the headlights with clean water and wipe them with a dry microfiber cloth.

White vinegar

White vinegar is an effective tool for restoring and cleaning dull car headlights. Due to its acidity, it can easily remove dirt. Pour 1 cup of water and 2 cups of vinegar into a spray bottle. Leave the solution on the headlights for 2 minutes, and then wipe with a microfiber cloth. This will get rid of streaks, dirt, and dust on the headlights.

Toothpaste

White toothpaste will help in case of slight clouding. Apply it to the headlights and wipe it off with an old toothbrush. Then rinse with water and dry.
