After winning gold in the final of the 2024 Olympic Games in team sabre fencing, Olga Harlan won her sixth medal at the Olympic Games. This made her the most decorated Ukrainian athlete in the history of our country's performances at the Olympics.

Harlan has won 2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. The 33-year-old native of Mykolaiv surpassed the achievement of swimmer Yana Klochkova, who climbed to the Olympic podium 5 times (4+1+0).

Next in the ranking of Ukrainian female Olympians are Inna Osypenko-Radomska (kayaking), who has 4 awards (1+2+1) and Olena Kostevych (shooting, 1+0+3).

Lilia Podkopayeva (gymnastics, 2+1+0), Yuriy Cheban (canoeing, 2+0+1) and Ruslan Taran (sailing, 0+1+2) each won three Olympic medals.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, after the final shot, the audience in Paris gave our compatriots a standing ovation.

During the award ceremony, the Ukrainian anthem was played for the first time at the Paris Games.
