"Dressed herring" in a new way: we tell you what to add to the salad for an original taste
The Dressed herring salad is one of the most budget-friendly and delicious homemade salads made with healthy baked vegetables, herring, onions, and mayonnaise.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious, hearty "Dressed herring" with boiled eggs and blue onions on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Blue onion - 1 pc.
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Vinegar - 1 tbsp
- Boiling water - 70 ml
- Herring - 1 pc.
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Potatoes - 2 pcs.
- Eggs - 5 pcs.
- Carrots - 3 pcs.
- Beets - 2-3 pcs.
- Salt - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 350 g
Method of preparation:
1. Bake all the vegetables in the oven at 200 degrees in foil for about 40-50 minutes. Then peel and grate.
2. Finely chop the onion, add sugar, vinegar and boiling water. Leave for 10 minutes.
3. Dice the herring.
4. Assemble the salad in layers: put the chopped herring on the first layer, then a little oil, onions, grated potatoes, salt, mayonnaise, egg whites, mayonnaise, carrots, salt, mayonnaise and the last layer of beets and mayonnaise. Garnish the salad with egg yolks!
