One of the most prestigious classic car auctions, RM Sotheby's, is preparing for its annual event in London, which is scheduled for November 1 and 2. This year, the auction has changed its location and moved to the luxurious Peninsula London hotel, which is famous for its collection of cars and aviation.
This place has already become a center of attraction for car collectors, the auction website says. It is noted that this year's event will feature "the most desirable collector cars the UK has to offer."
The organizers promise a particularly impressive collection, including one of the rarest and most desirable cars in the world, a 1957 Jaguar XKSS. This sports car is expected to sell for a record-breaking amount of about $14.4 million.
Dozens of lots
In addition to the star lot - the Jaguar XKSS - the auction will feature 62 other cars covering a wide range of years, brands and prices. From a 1900 De Dion-Bouton tricycle to a modern 2020 McLaren Senna GTR LM, everyone will find something interesting.
Despite the variety of lots, the organizers note a certain slowdown in the European classic car market. This auction can either confirm or refute this, opening up new opportunities for investors.

1900 De Dion-Bouton Vis-à-Vis Voiturette. This rare French car with an unusual seating arrangement is a real find for collectors.
1990 Ferrari Testarossa. This sports car, once owned by the famous racing driver Nigel Mansell, is a great example of Italian design from the 1980s.
1994 Honda NSX-R. A lightweight and powerful Japanese sports car that is considered one of the best in its class.
1954 Bentley R-Type Continental Fastback. An elegant and fast British grand tourer with an aluminum body.
1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Lightweight. A rare and powerful variant of the legendary Porsche 911.
1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL "Gullwing". One of the most iconic sports cars in history. This pre-production model is of particular value.
1964 Ferrari 250 GT/L Berlinetta Lusso. An elegant and powerful Italian grand tourer with a classic design.
