Delicious pita tubes with a hearty filling: perfect for breakfast and snacking
Pita bread is a versatile product that can be the basis for delicious and satisfying dishes such as lazy pizza, pies, casseroles, and tubes with various fillings.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious a la carte pita bread casserole with chicken and herbs.
Ingredients:
- Round pita bread - 10 pcs. (or cut into regular slices)
- Chicken fillet or thigh - 400 g
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Salt, pepper - to taste
- Parsley - 1-2 tbsp
- Sour cream - 1 tbsp
- Eggs - 2-3 pcs.
- Breadcrumbs - 150 g
- Hard cheese or mozzarella - 250 g
- Oil with herbs - 30 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the meat into thin slices. Cut the onion into half rings. Put the meat and onion in a preheated frying pan with oil. Add salt and pepper. Fry for 5-7 minutes.
2. Put the meat and onion in a bowl. Add sour cream, chopped parsley, and mix thoroughly.
3. Put the meat on the pita bread, add grated cheese, and roll it up, tucking the edges.
4. Dip each pita bread in beaten eggs and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle with grated cheese on top.
Put on a baking sheet and bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
