Delicious cabbage pies: the recipe for the perfect kefir dough

Homemade pies can be made with any filling, and the dough can be yeast-based, as well as milk or sour cream-based. It's worth noting that pies can be cooked both in the oven and simply fried in oil.

The chef shared a recipe for delicious fried pies with delicious fried cabbage on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 300 g of kefir
  • 500 g of flour
  • 1.5 tsp.
  • 1/2 tsp.
  • 2 tsp.
  • 2 tbsp.
  • 200 g of oil for frying

Cabbage filling:

  • 1 onion
  • 1 small cabbage
  • 1 large carrot
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp. l tomato paste
  • salt
  • pepper
  • oil
  • bay leaf
  • 100 ml of water

Method of preparation:

1. For the cabbage filling: fry the onion, add carrots, cabbage, garlic, water and simmer under the lid for 15-20 minutes, stirring. At the end of cooking, add tomato paste, salt, pepper, bay leaf and simmer for another 5-10 minutes.

2. Dough: gradually combine all the ingredients (kefir should be at room temperature or warm) and leave for 30 minutes.

3. Form pies and fry in plenty of oil!
