Baked chicken with potatoes for dinner: a recipe for a hearty and tasty dish for the whole family
Chicken meat is a very budget-friendly and tasty product that can be the basis for making delicious cutlets, chops, as well as pies and salads.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious baked chicken thighs with potatoes and a delicious sauce.
Ingredients:
- chicken thighs and drumsticks – 6-8 pcs
- potatoes – 500 g
- shallots – 2-3
- paprika – 1/2 tsp
- Italian herbs – 1 tsp
- black pepper – 1/2 tsp
- olive oil
- Dijon mustard (not in grains) – 70 g
- water – 60 ml
- Honey – 40 g
- salt and pepper to your taste
Method of preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
2. Cut the shallots in half and place them in a baking dish with the potatoes. Drizzle with olive oil and add salt and pepper to taste.
3. Mix the chicken with the spices (paprika, salt, pepper, Italian herbs) and put it on the potatoes.
4. For the marinade: mix the mustard, honey, water, salt, and pepper. Pour over the chicken and potatoes.
5. Cover the dish with a lid or foil and bake for 45 minutes. Then remove the lid, increase the oven temperature to 200C, and bake for another 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Garnish with fresh herbs before serving!
