Ayran based crepes for Pancake Day 2025: the most successful dough recipe
Homemade crepes can be made with milk, mineral water, sour cream, and ayran. To prevent the crepes from tearing, add vegetable oil to the dough.
The chef shared a recipe on Instagram for delicious soft ayran crepes that don't tear.
Ingredients:
- 250 g flour
- 3 tbsp of oil
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp of sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
Method of preparation:
1. Break the eggs, add sugar and a pinch of salt, and mix with a whisk. Then pour in the arrowroot and mix well.
2. Add the baking powder and flour and stir until smooth. Leave to stand for 15 minutes. Then add the oil and stir.
3. Fry the crepes on one side for 1.5-2 minutes and 15-30 seconds on the other side over medium heat.
