Adjarian khachapuri: how to cook at home

Khachapuri is a traditional Georgian dish that can be cooked both in the oven and in a frying pan. It's also worth noting that khachapuri can be cooked with cheese and eggs.

The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious, soft and very successful Adjarian khachapuri with cheese and eggs.

Ingredients:

  • flour 300 g
  • milk 80 ml
  • water 80 ml
  • dry yeast 1-1.5 tsp.
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • oil 20 ml

For the filling:

  • Imereti cheese 200-250g
  • Suluguni 300 g
  • Flour 1 tbsp.
  • Cream or milk 2 tbsp
  • Egg yolks 2 pcs
  • Butter to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Dough: mix the yeast with water, add milk, flour, sugar, salt and oil. Knead the dough, put it in a bowl, cover with a towel.

2. Grate the cheese, add flour, cream, egg yolk and mix.

3. Form khachapuri, put the filling inside, bake until tender.

After that, make a depression, put the yolk in, and put it in the oven for a few more minutes!
