A healthy bar that tastes better than Snickers: how to make it at home
For those who are trying to eat less sugar, going without delicious desserts such as cookies and especially chocolate is by far the hardest thing to do.
But you don't have to give up altogether, because there are many healthy and low-calorie alternatives. OBOZ.UA offers to make a delicious bar, where the combination of chocolate and peanut butter works wonders.
Ingredients
- 100 g of dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
- 1 large handful of dates
- 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 100 g of oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil (if necessary).
Method of preparation
1. Put the dates in a blender and blend until small pieces.
2. Add peanut butter, oatmeal, and honey, then blend again (add a little olive oil if you need to soften the mixture – you can also use melted butter).
3. Press the mixture into something like a small container (it can be between 1 cm and 1 inch deep – just seal it tightly).
4. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pot of simmering water. When completely melted, pour in the peanut butter mixture.
5. Put in the refrigerator to harden the chocolate and harden the rest of the mixture, then cut into pieces of any size.
