In the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the UOC-MP guards damaged the wooden doors of the 18th century. They were used as a target for throwing knives.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. A special commission continues to work on the territory of the National Reserve (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

"What the 'Russian world' and its fans leave behind - the consequences speak for themselves. The video shows the security room used by the UOC-MP. You can see the handcuffs on the door with your own eyes. An ancient door of the eighteenth century, which was used as a target for throwing knives. This was reported by the acting director of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve Maxim Ostapenko," the press service said.

In addition, the commission inspected the architectural monument of national importance - the Brotherhood Building at the Near Caves (building No. 44). As the doors to the building were locked, specialists were called in to open them.

"The building shows signs of violation of fire safety and the terms of the security agreement of 14.06.1995 No. 43 of the monument: "not to allow the use of the monument for economic needs, to maintain the building of the monument and all related property in proper sanitary, fire and technical condition...", the press service said.

As noted in the commission, in the interior, they found an accumulation of furniture, various packaging materials, goods for sale (church utensils, candles, calendars, booklets), clothes and shoes, sewing equipment. In addition, the representatives of the Moscow Patriarchate did not take fire-fighting measures.

It should be added that earlier, during inspections of the UNESCO World Heritage buildings used by the UOC-MP, the commission found that there was a lot of dirt, flammable items and no fire alarm system.

It should be reminded that representatives of the Moscow Patriarchate are still on the territory of the National Reserve. They were supposed to leave the monastery on 29 March in connection with the termination of the lease agreement by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine due to numerous violations.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, in the capital, law enforcement officers detained four active participants in the clashes on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra who entered the sealed premises. They were notified of suspicion of hooliganism.
