Oatmeal with water: how to cook porridge for breakfast
Oatmeal is a quick and healthy breakfast option. It can be prepared in different ways: with milk, water, and even baked in the oven, as well as complemented with your favorite fruits, berries, dried fruits, honey, or jam.
The food blogger Oksana Pashko on her YouTube channel(Cooking with Oksana Pashko) shared a simple and delicious recipe for sweet oatmeal with raisins and apples.
- oat flakes - 1 tbsp.
- water - 3 tbsp.
- raisins - 80 g
- apples - 1 pc
Method of preparation:
1. oatmeal rinse and pour into a saucepan, pour water. Place on fire, bring to a boil, and boil from the moment of boiling for 5 minutes.
Raisins are washed and poured over with boiling water and left for 3-5 minutes. After that, drain the water.
3. peel the apple, cut first into slices and then into cubes.
4. When the porridge is cooked, take it off the heat. Add the raisins and apple to the porridge. Stir to combine.
5. If desired, you can add honey or sugar to the porridge. Done!
