Grated pie with jam for tea: the recipe for the most successful dough

Grated pie is a delicious homemade pastry made from the simplest shortcrust pastry. You can make this pie not only with jam or jam, but also with your favorite berries, fruits, and cottage cheese.

Food blogger Yulia Simonchuk (cook_julia_simonchuk) shared a recipe for grated pie with jam and butter on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • flour - 420-430 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • butter - 200 g
  • baking powder - 10 g
  • vanilla sugar - 10 g
  • sugar - 100 g
  • salt - a pinch
  • thick jam - 0.5 liters

Method of preparation:

1. Grate the butter at room temperature with sugar and vanilla sugar, adding eggs and salt.

2. Mix flour and baking powder and add to the total mass. Knead the dough, divide it into two parts, each wrapped in plastic wrap. Put the larger part in the refrigerator, the smaller part in the freezer for 1 hour.

3. After that, take out most of the dough and roll it out, put it into a mold.

4. Put the jam on top of the dough.

5. Grate the smaller part of the dough on top.

6. Bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
