Crispy homemade chebureks with juicy filling: how to make the perfect dough

The most important thing in chebureks is successful dough that is crispy and airy after frying the products. And you don't need to use a lot of different ingredients for this. The perfect dough can be made with plain water.

The idea of making crispy chebureks was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Iryna Kozachuk (irina_kozachuk_). It is important to follow the steps for adding all the ingredients to the mass.

Ingredients:

  • 400 g flour
  • 150 ml of water
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 40 ml of vegetable oil
  • 300 g of minced meat
  • 1 onion
  • salt
  • pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Sift flour into a bowl.

2. Mix egg yolk, salt and water in a glass and pour into the flour, stirring the dough constantly with a spoon.

3. Add oil and knead the dough. It will not be homogeneous, so do not knead for a long time.

4. Wrap in cling film and put the dough in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

5. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Add grated onion, salt, pepper and 2 tbsp of water to the minced meat. Thus, the filling will be juicier. You can also add chopped herbs.

6. Roll out the dough very thinly. Put the filling, form pasties and fry in vegetable oil.

7. This portion makes 10 delicious chebureks.
