US records 16 tornadoes in six states: one person killed

On the night of Tuesday, May 7, at least 16 tornadoes were reported in six states in the United States. At least one person was killed as a result of the weather.

The tornadoes were reported in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and South Dakota.

The most destructive storm probably occurred in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, north of Tulsa, where serious damage was reported.

In addition to the tornado, 4-inch softball-sized hail was reported in Kansas.

On Tuesday morning, tornado warnings were issued for parts of Missouri, including St. Louis, and Illinois. These restrictions were to remain in effect until 8 a.m. local time.

The tornado warning in Arkansas was also extended until 5 a.m. local time.

As a reminder, a powerful thunderstorm hit Kyiv and Kyiv region on Thursday, April 25, in the afternoon. In some places in the region, the precipitation was accompanied by hail.

On Sunday, April 21, Lviv and the region were covered with anomalous hail, similar to snow. The streets, which had already been covered with greenery, turned white like in winter.
